I’m an experienced executive manager with a strong track record of building successful companies and high-performing teams. I specialise in securing and delivering world-class solutions for clients in the industrial, infrastructure and government sectors.
My expertise lies in strategic business development, and I have a unique ability to bring stakeholders together to achieve shared success. I use my skills to introduce new products, establish strong brands and create additional revenue streams for businesses and their partners. Alongside this, I have extensive experience in finance, acquisitions, mergers and joint ventures, which sets me apart in the infrastructure and facilities management sectors.
Over my career, I have successfully led the financial closure of more than 14 acquisitions and delivered three business turnarounds. I have also driven organic growth to triple the size of existing companies and business units.

SHAPE began as our vision and business plan, brought to life through a series of strategic acquisitions. SHAPE operated through three main divisions: SHAPE Energy, SHAPE Technology and SHAPE Projects. We’ve delivered innovative and groundbreaking projects, including several firsts for New Zealand. By enhancing and strengthening acquired intellectual property, such as Datablok, we achieved significant export sales and even secured projects supported by the World Bank.
The business grew organically to provide nationwide coverage and delivered exciting projects for prestigious blue-chip clients. One of our proudest achievements was transforming an acquired startup technology business from its early stages into a profitable contributor to the group, all within two years.
Chief Operations Officer - McKay Ltd
McKay Limited is one of New Zealand's oldest family owned and operated Electrical contracting and electrotechnology companies. Established in 1936 the company has grown from a small Whangarei business to have a number of operations throughout NZ. McKay in July 2014 when Andrew joined had only a small footprint outside of regional heartland in Northland and overall had approximately 125 employees. under Andrew's leadership and growth strategy the business grew to over 500 employees at its peak and was delivering 2 of New Zealand's largest Electrical projects for 2021/2022 (Waikeria prison and NZICC) and had just secured Dunedin Hospital. Andrew helped McKay to become a major national player in the Electrical services market and as a result the business grew by revenue and profitability by 5x. He with support and guidance of Lindsay and Gottfried completely transformed the business. By the time of his departure he had changed the careers of many of managers and employees. While overseeing 3 acquisitions, the majority of McKay's growth came from organic contract wins lead by Andrew
